FT-EMPEA Sustainable Investing in Emerging Markets Summit
The PRI is pleased to support the Financial Times and EMPEA's inaugural Sustainable Investing In Emerging Markets leadership summit.
Sustainable investment practices are transforming private capital investments, demonstrating that returns and a positive impact can go hand in hand. Benchmarking environmental, social and governance (ESG) best practices can influence investment performance and improve alignment of values. Particularly pertinent in emerging markets, which are ripe with opportunity but prone to unpredictability, ESG safeguards investors from uncertainties.
As part of the event, EMPEA will present the Sustainability & Operational Excellence Challenge. Emerging market capital fund managers are encouraged to submit their most impactful deal by 9 September 2016. The top three finalists will be given the opportunity to share their case studies at the Summit, and members will vote on the winner who will be announced live at the Summit. Visit the EMPEA website for information about the Call for Submissions.
PRI signatories are entitled to discounted conference registration rates (if they are not EMPEA members or do not meet the Qualified Investor definition): £1250 for Sustainable Investing in Emerging Markets Summit only; £2100 for both Sustainable Investing in Emerging Markets and Private Equity in Africa Summits. Please contact Shannon Stroud to register for this discount.
